#First90DaysAtIDeaS — Anmol Grover shares his experience.

We all have 24 hours. And how we organize and utilize them varies at an individual level. At IDeaS, we come across many ways of working, each unique and effective in its way, just like how Anmol Grover, who follows a unique style of managing time, called the Pomodoro Technique. The technique breaks down work into intervals (traditionally 25 minutes in length) separated by short breaks. Anmol, who joined us recently, is focused on his career development, and we are glad he chose IDeaS as his steppingstone. He enjoys watching and following various sports, including cricket. We strive to create a hub for exchanging knowledge and experiences. Anmol’s fresh approach and tech insights will be a great addition.

We asked Anmol about his journey so far and here is what he shared about his experience in the #First90DayAtIDeaS:

Q: When did you join, and what is your role with IDeaS Revenue Solutions?
I joined IDeaS in March as a “Development Tester” and currently I work with both developer and testing teams.

Q: The hiring process is a way for a company and the candidate to know each other. What impression did IDeaS leave on you while you were going through the hiring process?
The hiring process was pretty good. After the Technical and Manager rounds, I was very nervous. But my meeting with the Head HR, Devika Thorat really calmed me down. She was very friendly and welcoming.

Q: Anything about the process that you found interesting? Why?
There’s one process, Buddy assigning, I found that very interesting. My buddy was very joyful in nature. He gave me a quick tour of the organization and introduced me to all my team members. He was assigned to me for my first 90 days with IDeaS and he helped me a lot with all my queries.

Q: Why did you choose to work with IDeaS? Products, technologies, innovation program, career growth, or culture, what incited your decision the most?
My focus was more on career growth, and that was one of the main reasons for me to choose IDeaS. But the culture, way employees come together, and various training & development activities incited my decision to join.

Q: One does not just open the editor (computer) and start coding (working) — How are you getting up to speed with the work? Are you getting the support you need to get things done?
Well, Coffee is like a booster for me. I listen to slow music while working, which helps me to focus on work instead of things happening around me. Some days I even use the ‘Pomodoro’ technique to get the work done on time. Also, my team is very supportive. I get enough help from my teammates and my manager as well.

Q: Can you share an interesting story from your journey in the First90DaysAtIDeaS?
Well, as of now I haven’t got any other interesting story. Because of the pandemic, we had to start doing WFH some days after I joined.

Q: Learning a new skill or upskilling what are you doing currently?
Currently, I am learning new skills regarding my field only. Except that I have started to cook more often, and I have started to read some books.

Q: Define #LifeAtIDeaS in your own words?
#LifeAtIDeaS could be pretty good because of cultural and sports events. Sadly, many activities are not possible because of the pandemic. So, I was not able to enjoy much, but Teams are really trying to connect and organize events that are possible, so that is good.

It motivates us to see new our new members making the most of any opportunity to learn and grow at IDeaS. Anmol’s #First90DaysAtIDeaS has been about connecting with the team, strengthening his core knowledge, and finding new technologies. We wish him great success in the career.
